The banknote of 1 som denomination of 1993 tenor is made on white paper of 140х70 mm in size. The prevailing color of the banknote is red. The colorless fibers luminescent in ultraviolet light are implanted in the paper. The paper has the watermarks in the form of the "eagle", placed over the entire surface of the banknote. The banknote is printed by offset printing. 

 

On top of the obverse of the banknote there is a text "KYRGYZSTAN BANKY" and a figure with the inscription "1 SOM". In the center, on the left, there is the see-through register and the national ornament, on the right - the image of a monument to a hero of the national epic "Manas". At the bottom, there is the figure "1"; the text "BIR SOM"; and the series and the number of the banknote printed in black paint. The series consists of one figure and two letters, the number - of eight figures. On a white coupon field there is a signature of Chairman (Toraga) of the NBKR

 

On top of the reverse of the banknote, the figure with the inscription "1 SOM" and the text "KYRGYZSTAN BANKY" are located. The Manas Mausoleum is painted in the center (XIV century) and the inscription "KYRGYZSTAN BANKY" in microlettering runs along the edge of a horizontal ornamental strip. At the upper right the see-through register is located. At the bottom there is the text "BIR SOM 1"

 

The banknote of 1 som denomination of 1994 tenor is made on white paper of 135х65 mm in size. The prevailing color of the banknote is yellow-brown. The banknote has the white field from three sides of 4 mm in width. Red, green and dark blue fibers are implanted in the paper, as well as the colorless fibers luminescent in ultraviolet light. The paper has the local watermark with a portrait of akyn Toktogul Satylganov. The vertically located security thread seen against the light with the microtext "KYRGYZ BANKY" is implanted in the paper. The banknote is printed by offset printing. 

 

On top of the obverse of the banknote, the text "KYRGYZ BANKY" and the signature of the NBKR Chairman (Toraga) and the par value of the banknote "1" are located. In the center in the national ornament, there is the digital par value of the banknote, while on the right - the portrait of Abdylas Maldybaev - the first Kyrgyz composer and performer - and the inscription "ABDYLAS". At the bottom the figure "1" and the text "BIR SOM" are located. At the lower left - the see-through register in the form of an ellipse. On the right there is the vertical ornamental strip. 

 

On top of the reverse of the banknote there is the serial number printed in red paint, the text "KYRGYZ BANKY" and the figure "1". In the center there is the image of Kyrgyz national musical instruments: komuz and kylkyak painted against the building of the Kyrgyz State Philharmonic Hall. At the bottom - the serial number printed in black paint. At the left on the vertical ornamental strip there is the figure "1" and the text "BIR SOM"

 

The banknote of 1 som denomination of 2000 tenor is madeon white paper of 120х60 mm in size. The prevailing color of the banknote is green-orange. The paper has the local watermark repeating the portrait, represented on the obverse of the banknote. The vertically located security thread with the microtext "KYRGYZ BANKY" seen against the light is implanted in the paper. The strip code is located at the left and on the right along the edges of the banknote. 

 

On top of the obverse of the banknote there is the text "KYRGYZ BANKY"; the series and the number of the banknote in red paint; the signature of the NBKR Chairman (Toraga). In the center, in the middle of the ornament, the figure "1" is seen through; closer to the right - the portrait of Abdylas Maldybaev, the outstanding Kyrgyz composer, and the inscription "ABDYLAS MALDYBAEV (1906-1978)". At the bottom there is the figure "1"; the text "BIR SOM"; a conventional mark as the geometrical figure for the people with a weak eyesight; the see-through register in the form of the ellipse; and the serial number in black color and the vertical ornament along the edge of the banknote

 

On top of the reverse of the banknote, the text "KYRGYZ BANKY" and the figure "1" are located. In the center there is the image of the Kyrgyz national musical instruments: komuz and kylkyak against the building of the Kyrgyz State Philharmonic Hall in Bishkek. At the right bottom the year "1999" is indicated. At the left on the vertical ornamental strip the figure "1" and the text "BIR SOM"

 

IDENTIFYING FEATURES 

Banknotes of 1 som denomination of the third 2000 issue: 

 

· Individual size of the banknote;  

· New watermark - the portrait of Abdylas Maldybaev;  

· The serial number is located on the obverse of the banknote. The size of the figures in the serial located in the right bottom corner of the banknote increases from left to right. The top number is executed in red, the bottom number - in black color;  

· The strip code is located on the obverse on the right and at the left along the edges of the banknote. With the help of this element the banknotes packed into bank rolls could be easily identified by cashiers of banks;  

· The microlettering consisting of continuous series of numbers, corresponding to a face value of the denomination, is located inside the figure "1" in the right top corner on the reverse of the banknote;  

· The anti-copying grid is located on the reverse as thin lines forming a cellular system whose structure changes on copying. The security grid on the obverse is extended throughout the whole field of the banknote;  

· As on all of the banknotes of the third issue, on the obverse of the banknote, close to the right border of the white coupon field, there is the conventional mark that corresponds to the par value of the banknote, in the form of the geometrical figure, specific for each denomination (O- 1 som).
