Circulation coin of 1 Som denomination 

  

 

 

The obverse side of the coin has an image of "kookor", a traditional Kyrgyz leather vessel for the traditional drink - kymyz. Each "kookor" has a symbol of "tumar" in form of triangle that widely uses in various folk arts.   

 

The reverse side of the coin has the Coat of Arms of the Kyrgyz Republic and year of issue.
