The representatives of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic presented commemorative banknote, issued in honor of 150th anniversary of T. Satylganov, a grandson of the prominent poet-improvisator  

The Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, Baktygul Jeenbaeva, met with the painter, Moldozhan Toktogulov, the grandson of Toktogul Satylganov, the prominent akyn (poet-improvisator), composer and trump-player.   

In the course of this meeting, B. Jeenbaeva presented commemorative banknotes with denomination of 100 Som, issued by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic in honor of 150th anniversary of Toktogul Satylganov, to the offspring of the prominent akyn-improvisator. “The 150th anniversary of the famous Kyrgyz akyn is celebrated in the Kyrgyz Republic this year. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic issued these commemorative banknotes in honor of this anniversary. “Let me present several copies of these banknotes to you on behalf of the Management Board and the staff of our bank”, she said while handing the banknotes to M. Toktogulov.  

Moldozhan Toktogulov, in his turn, expressed his gratitude to the administration of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic for issue of such commemorative banknotes. “I’m very pleased and happy that commemorative banknotes with inscription “Toktogulga 150 zhyl” (“Toktogul is 150 years old”) are issued in honor of the anniversary of the Kyrgyz people’s true son”, - M. Toktogulov said and granted collected edition of T. Satylganov “Tandalmalar”.

On October 20, 2014, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic put into circulation commemorative banknote with denomination of 100 Som in honor of 150th anniversary of Toktogul Satylganov, the prominent Kyrgyz akyn (poet-improvisator), composer and trump player.   

Description of the banknote:   

Golden profile of Toktogul Satylganov is depicted against white background of the watermark framed with the national ornament and bluish commemorative inscription “Toktogulga 150 zhyl” (“Toktogul is 150 years old”). Commemorative inscription, ornament and profile are made by means of offset printing. The banknote is covered with special lacquer coating Securicoat™. Latent image is made by means of rainbow-colored image Dynamic©.  Issue limit of the commemorative banknote is 3000 pieces.
