The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, as part of the campaign on raising financial literacy among the population, announces the Republican contest among school children on the following categories: 

1. The best essay on the topic:  

• "What is a bank? What is it for?"  

• "Currency of the Future"  

• "Where should money be invested?"  

• "If I were a banker…"  

• "How to manage money wisely?"  

• "How much money is necessary for happiness?"  

• "The future of the national currency"  

2. The best poem on the theme: "Dedicated to the national currency of Kyrgyzstan…"  

3. The best picture on the theme: "Som the face of Kyrgyzstan"  

The aim of the contest is to raise the financial literacy among school children and spread awareness about careful attitude towards the national currency as a state symbol.  

The competition is open to children from 6 to 16 years old. Poems and essays are accepted in the Kyrgyz and Russian languages and should be presented on a white sheet of paper of A-4 format, font Times New Roman, font size 12. 

Paintings can be drawn using any technique (watercolor, gouache, graphics, etc.). The quantity and volume of entries per author is unlimited. 

The prize fund provides valuable gifts in the form of collection coins of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic and other recognition gifts. 

Entries must be submitted by April 14, 2015 to the Public Relations and Protocol Division of the Documentation Management and Communications Department of the National Bank at the following address: 101 Umetaliev Street, office No.104, "Expedition", Bishkek 720040, Kyrgyz Republic, with the note "Children contest" and indication of the last name, first name and middle name of the child, date of birth and contact details.
