The students of the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn visited the Numismatic Museum of the National Bank  

 

The 2nd course students of the faculty of mathematics, information science and cybernetics from the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn visited the Numismatic Museum of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.  

The main specialist of the Documentation Management and Communications Department, Bermet Usubalieva, conducted an excursion around the museum. In the course of this excursion the students were provided with detailed information about money, the origin of the first means of payment, the guests were told about modern coins and banknotes of Kyrgyzstan and foreign countries.  

Collection coins of the Kyrgyz Republic, namely their design and technology of manufacturing commemorative silver, gold and copper-nickel coins attracted particular interest of the students.  

Talking about collection coins, Bermet Usubalieva emphasized: "Our coins repeatedly received international recognition. For example, the coin "Saimaluu-Tash" of the series "Historical and architectural monuments of Kyrgyzstan" took the 3rd place at the international contest "Coin Constellation-2014" in September of the last year, the coin "70 years of Great Victory", which was recently put into circulation, was very popular among the population."  

The lecturer of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, Meerim Namazalieva, said that thanks to this excursion students could receive information about and see those payment means, which our forefathers used.  

In their turn, students expressed their gratitude to the representatives of the National Bank for the interesting excursion, emphasizing a significant contribution of the National Bank to preservation of historical values for modern generation.
