A business game on strategic management took place since November 17-20, 2015 among commercial banks. Savings Banks Fund of Germany and National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, which provided a ground for conduction of games, acted as organizers of the business game. The business game was attended by the representatives of the “Finca Bank” CJSC, “RSK Bank” OJSC, “Aiyl Bank” OJSC, “Bai Tushum” Bank CJSC, “Demir Kyrgyz International Bank” CJSC and “Commercial Bank Kyrgyzstan” OJSC. Four representatives from among middle and top managers of a bank represented each team.   

Experts of the Savings Banks Fund of Germany Mrs. Tatyana Feldghen, Inna Mazur and Andreas Fabritsius acted as trainers of the business game. The game was supervised by Mrs. Jenny Shultz, expert of the Federal Ministry of Economy of Germany, Mr. Mathias, Director of the Savings Banks Fund for International Cooperation of Germany, and Mr. Ulrich Kinitz, Regional Director of the Project.  

The business game consisted of several stages – warming to a role, surveying the situation, analyzing the financial and nonfinancial information, preparation of overall strategies, compiling of business plans and decision-making. Decisions taken by a team were processed through special software.  

In the course of the game, participants received necessary skills on decision-making within limited time and stiff competition, on processing of data under customer preferences and analyzing of their needs. Each team could demonstrate its capability to balance between risks and opportunities as well as knowledge and experience needed in practical work of banks.  

When the game was summarized, the team of the “Demir Kyrgyz International Bank” CJSC took the first place.   

Solemn ceremony on awarding the first bank Cup of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic for strategic management among commercial banks was held on November 20, which was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Mrs. Baktygul Zheenbaeva.
