From June to September 2025, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, jointly with the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Tax Service, conducted field monitoring of trade and service enterprises (hereinafter referred to as “TSEs”) and markets throughout the Republic in order to fully implement and use QR codes of the national standard for cashless payment for goods and services. According to the results of the inspection, 499 out of 568 facilities are equipped with QR codes.
In those TSEs where QR codes were absent, explanatory measures were carried out on the need to comply with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 869 as of December 23, 2015 “On measures to protect consumer rights,” according to which cashless payments are mandatory, including those using the national standard QR code. These activities will be continued until the end of 2025.
