The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic in honor of 75th anniversary of the Great Victory puts into circulation silver and copper-nickel collection coins «75th anniversary of Great Victory» of the series «Historical Events» as well as copper-nickel collection coin «10 years of the People’s April revolution» of the same series.
Collection coin «75th anniversary of Great Victory»
Years pass, various events come, go and become a thing of the past, but the heroic deeds of those who survived the harsh years of World War II, who gave their lives for the freedom of their people, will never fade in the memory of generations. The memory of glorious warriors, soldiers, and officers who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom throughout the world is growing stronger from year to year.
The main image of the obverse of the coin is a soaring dove (on a silver coin made in hologram) symbolizing peace, and the background – is the Reichstag walls autographed by the soldiers. The upper part of the coin contains an inscription «Улуу Жеңишке 75 жыл/75 лет Великой Победе» (75th anniversary of the Great Victory), the lower part of the coin contains alloy of metal (Ag 925°), weight of the coin (28.28 g), face value of the coin (10) and graphic symbol of the official currency of the Kyrgyz Republic, Som - C.
On the reverse side of the coin there is the memorial complex «Heroic deed of 28 soldiers» depicted against the background of the figure «75». The upper part of the coin shows an inscription: «Улуу Жеңишке 75 жыл/75 лет Великой Победе» (75th anniversary of the Great Victory) and the coat of arms of the Kyrgyz Republic. The bottom of the coin shows a carnation, as a symbol of memory, courage and bravery, made in color printing, and the year of coin issue (2020).
The battle of the legendary 316th Infantry Division under the command of Major-General I.V. Panfilov, whose ranks also included the glorious sons of the Kyrgyz people, was one of the fateful confrontations and the most important event of the first year of the war. The immortal heroic deed of 28 heroes from Panfilov Division remained forever in history and played an exceptional mobilizing role during the years of war, and the legends circulated about the bravery and courage of the heroes. In 1975, a memorial complex «Heroic deed of 28 soldiers», consisting of six monumental figures representing the soldiers of six nationalities who fought in the ranks of 28 Panfilov’s, was built at the scene of the battle.
Collection coin «10 years of the People's April revolution»
The collection coin «10 years of the People's April revolution» was issued in honor of 10 years of the People's April revolution.
The main plot of the obverse of the coin is the fragment of the monument dedicated to the memory who perished in the tragic events of April 7, 2010, located on the Ala-Too square in Bishkek city. In the upper part of the coin there is an inscription of the coin «Элдик Апрель революциясына 10 жыл» («10 years of the People’s April revolution»).
The coat of arms of the Kyrgyz Republic against the stylized pattern of the Kyrgyz national ornaments is depicted in the center of the reverse side of the coin. On the upper part of the coin there is an inscription «Кыргыз Республикасынын Улуттук банкы» («The National bank of the Kyrgyz Republic». The year of issue (2020) is given on the lower part of the coin.
