ь National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic explains that calculation of the inflation is performed by the National Statistics Committee of Kyrgyz Republic. The inflation means change in the overall level of consumer prices in the economy. 369 goods and services, selected by the National Statistics Committee, are used for calculation. At the same time the dynamics of prices for those products that are part of the consumer spending of the average citizen of Kyrgyzstan is monitored. Thus, the increase in the cost of certain goods cannot be interpreted as growth of the inflation. In particular, when calculating the inflation rate in July 2011, the increase in prices for certain product groups, included in the basket of goods (e.g. meat increased in price by 3.2 per cent) and decline in other commodity groups (fruits and vegetables decreased in price by 11.3 per cent) were taken into account
