In Kazakhstan a 2000 tenge banknote of 2012 sample has been put into circulation starting from March 29, 2013.
Description of the banknote
The predominant color of the banknote is dark green and light green. Size of the banknote is 139 mm x 73 mm.
The main images on the front side of the banknote are the flag and the emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the monument Kazakh Eli.
The main image on the reverse side of the banknote is the Irtysh River, located inside the map of Kazakhstan.
Key protective elements of the banknote
watermark - an image of a mythical bird Samruk when viewed by transmitted light.
security thread is located on the front of the banknote, has an optically variable effect, changes its color from gold to green and then to blue when viewed by different angle.
holographic stripe of 13 mm wide is located on the reverse of the banknote. A denomination, a stylized yurt and fragments of the national flag are depicted on the stripe.
iridescent image -an image of saiga is located on the right edge of the front side of the banknote. It is made of a special iridescent paint, which has a gold glitter when viewed by different angle.
Spark element is located on the front of the banknote as an image of saiga, a bright shiny stripe visible at right angle, moves up or down when the banknote is tilted. It changes its color from green to gold when viewed by different angle.

- Starting from 29.04.2013 annulled the license of a Private Entrepreneur Kudryashov V.A. No. 4857 dd. 28.02.2012 to conduct exchange operations with foreign currency in cash due to liquidation. Legal address: Chui region, Kant, Lenin Street w/o No. (Central market, store Evroset).
- Starting from 02.05.2013 annulled the license of a Private Entrepreneur Aytmatov M.T. No. 4886 dd. 04.04.2012 to conduct exchange operations with foreign currency in cash due to liquidation. Legal address: Chui region, Kant, 74 Lenin Street, Narodny market.
- Starting from 03.05.2013 annulled the license of a Private Entrepreneur Davidov D.N. No. 4932 dd. 02.05.2012 to conduct exchange operations with foreign currency in cash due to liquidation. Legal address: Bishkek, 112 Kievskaya Street.
- Starting from 02.05.2013 annulled the license of Ayil Berekesi Credit Union due to liquidation. Legal address: Chui region, Zhayil district, Sosnovka village, 81 Frunze Street.
