The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic gives recommendations to the commercial banks and non-banking financial and credit organizations to suspend their activities and strengthen security measures on October 7, 2020 until the political situation in the country stabilizes to provide security of the financial and banking sector in the country and ensure safety of the financial and credit organizations’ assets.
The Elcard national payment system continues to provide the possibility of making non-cash payments. Payments and settlements can be made using non-cash and remote payment instruments: bank payment cards, e-wallets, Elcard Mobile application, QR codes, etc.
At the same time, the systems to ensure the transfer of funds through the national and international payment systems that enable to make cross-border payments have been suspended.
