On the occasion of the 30th anniversary since the adoption of the national currency of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has planned a number of activities in different areas of the central bank of the country.   

On March 15, 2023 a tour to the Numismatic Museum of the National Bank and a special lecture on financial literacy were organized for high school students, the winners of the Bishkek City Olympiad. The students got acquainted with the unique ancient coins, the 30-year history of formation of the national currency - the Kyrgyz som and many other exhibits of numismatic heritage of the Kyrgyz Republic, and listened to a lecture on financial literacy, which covered the level of financial literacy of the Kyrgyz population, savings behavior, financial security and resources of the National Bank to improve financial literacy.
