The Payment System Committee of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic (hereinafter referred to as the "PSC") was established in 2001 by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Board decision. In its work, the PSC is guided by the Regulation "On the Payment System Committee of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic" and regulatory legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic.  

The PSC is authorized by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Board to make decisions on the issues of its competence in the sphere of development, regulation and supervision (oversight) of the payment system in the Kyrgyz Republic, and regulation and prudential supervision over the payment system operators and payment organizations, which activity is licensed by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.  

For the reporting 2017 period, 17 meetings of the PSC were held, where 45 issues were studied: 

- 17 issues on the activity of payment system operators and payment organizations; 

- 28 issues in the sphere of payment systems.
